A Scenic Alpine Hike on Snowshoes

Meeting point: 09:30 a.m. in the village centre of Spital am Pyhrn. A taxi ride brings us to the starting point and back again (registration necessarily required!)
Description: "Pure enjoyment" can be experienced in the Natura 2000 areas around the Pyhrn Pass. You feel on this promising snowshoe tour over open, sunny alpine pastures like in paradise! Almost effortlessly we hike together with our guide Martha the sparse forests and snow-covered alpine meadows in the southeastern Dead Mountains and enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains as well as peace and quiet away from large crowds.

It is a simple snowshoe hike with a high enjoyment factor. The walking time is around 3.5 hours.

End: approximately 15:30 p.m. 

Location: Spital am Pyhrn
Characteristics:  Not very difficult snowshoe hike but needing some effort with few longer ascents and descents, mostly flat alpine terrain and forest roads. It addresses to both experienced and casual walkers. No prior experience or knowledge needed!
Total time:  09:30 a.m. to 15:30 p.m. of which pure walking time approx. 3.5 hours

Participants: at least 5 / maximum 12 persons

Prices:**: Adults 41 € / children and young persons 27 € / The taxi ride is not included, it depends on the number of participants (~ 8 €)

Needed equipment: Sturdy hiking boots with ankle support / snowshoes * / telescope sticks * or ski poles * / gaiters (not essential) / warm clothing comprising ski underwear, ski socks, waterproof jacket (with hood), waterproof over trousers, general trekking trousers (not jeans or cotton material), warm thermal top and fleece top (made of merino wool is recommended) / warm hat / gloves and mitts / backpack / thermos with hot drink / food / sun glasses and sun cream
